A Delicious Sunday Brunch at Latest Recipe, Le Meridien Gurgaon!

Set amidst beautiful green lush surroundings is Le Meridien in Gurgaon (earlier Pullman). The hotel was changed to Le Meridien only a few months ago, but with the rebranding and change of names of restaurants, what we didn’t miss was the staff and chefs behind different restaurants inside the hotel. One such restaurant is Latest Recipe, the all-day dining restaurant of the hotel. Head by Chef Tanveer Kwatra, I’ve seen a tremendous shift in the taste of food and the fare presented from my previous visit to the restaurant (when it was the Senses).

Visited Latest Recipe for a Sunday Brunch on a gorgeous afternoon with practically no sunlight to spoil the fun. I was run through the entire buffet by Chef Tanveer, told about the various sections they had and the cuisine each section offered, and that’s how my afternoon began.

The Sunday Brunch had an insane variety of food to offer. From European, Japanese, Chinese and Italian, to Indian, Awadhi, Teppanyaki and South Indian, we had glimpses of some great deals of cuisines, each doing complete justice to the taste.

Mumbai: Karaoke, Cocktails and Fun Tales- The Bombay Bronx, Breach Candy

A place with a very lively vibe to it, a place that has great great music, karaoke, and an amazing atmosphere to chill and party. With seating that comprises of wooden furniture of high tables and chairs, and also the usual tables with benches, it’s pretty neat. There is a very quirky setup in one corner of the restaurant that’s a table shaped like an auto. You can sit inside and get pictures clicked in the super fun multi-colour lighting inside. They also have some really nice lamps hanging down on each table, and a huge karaoke screen in the centre of the place from where everyone can see the lyrics and sing.

How their karaoke works- you tell the coordinator that you want to sing the next song and give your song request, and the mic is given to you on your table upon your turn. The place is buzzing with so much action and fun all the time that it's hard for someone to not like it! People are singing to the tunes, they’re singing along with each other and just having a great time.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in SELECT Citywalk, Saket, New Delhi

Krispy Kreme came to Delhi as such a hyped up brand! But the hype was what it lived up to completely. Situated on the first floor of SELECT Citywalk, they have a decent enough capacity to seat people. You will always see their shelves stacked well, the donuts constantly being prepared in the open kitchen behind, and such a yummy whiff of sugary goodness whenever you pass them by while shopping.

Their donuts are a league apart- they have flavours that the other frontrunners don’t. Apart from their Original Glazed that’s THE most favoured one for people who don’t like to experiment, they have some really out of the box flavours like Red Velvet (that no one has been able to come out with yet). Their Custard-Filled flavour is nothing like a normal custard filled donut, but it also has cookies on the top. Oreos Cookies and Kreme is also very good! The usual chocolate ones- Chocolate Glazed, Chocolate Éclair and Chocolate Iced Cake are the ones you can never go wrong with.

The doghnuts are priced at an average of 65-70 bucks, and along with your doughnut it’s best if you relish a Cappuccino or a Hot Chocolate. In addition to going to Citywalk and enjoying my doughnuts, I’ve ordered from them in dozens and dozens and relished them at home and work too. The best place to have doughnuts from, given all the options we have!
